"If the Word of God forbids female ministry, we would ask how it happens that so many of the most devoted handmaidens of the Lord have felt constrained by the Holy Ghost to exercise it? … The Word and the Spirit cannot contradict each other."

In the New Testament we read she is to be a keeper of the home. To be married and have children. But we also see examples of women having ministry roles but most of them are from their homes. Usually hospitality. The Old Testament has some women like Deborah but she went to war because the men would not lead. The Proverbs 31 women mostly worked from her home. Cottage industry kind of stuff. Ruth went out to work in the fields but only because she didn't have a man to take care of her. So, I think, ideally, men are to be the ministry leaders. If you have other thoughts of scripture I would LOVE to hear them.

Another interesting thought I heard from Voddie Baucham at camp. He said that part of the curse (after the fall in the Garden of Eden) was that women would have a desire for their husbands. In the Greek, he says, this says that a woman will have a desire for her husband's position. Makes me wonder if these godly women are simply being tempted as so many of us are to take man's place as the head.

I see from a human stand point
